In Frame
Traditional in-frame cabinetry is full of character and will bring any space to life, whether a kitchen, utility or bedroom. Built in many wood species and spray finished to a colour of your choosing. I hand build solid wood frames glued and mechanically fixed at the joints, and handmake shaker style doors using mortise and tenon joinery. Mortise hinges are hand chopped in to both the door and frame, the strongest method of hinging a door. Cockbead front frames, matching shaker end panels and plant on plinths give this style the traditional, timeless charm it is famous for.
Concealed
A popular, contemporary method of hanging cabinet doors is using the concealed hinge directly off the carcass itself, eliminating the need for a frame giving greater access to the cabinet internal. This way of hanging the doors also allows for the use of push to open mechanisms, great when blending storage in with existing features or going for a clean, sleek look. Many door styles, materials and finishes are available including shaker, handleless, cottage style, flat slab and more built in solid hardwoods or MDF depending on which suits the project best.
Doors
I hand build shaker style doors traditionally using mortise and tenon joinery, from hardwoods including oak, walnut, poplar and more.
Internal
I make carcasses in oak, walnut, birch plywood and painted MDF. Custom built to your requirements
Finishes
